We're Baaaaaaaaaaack

We’re back and it couldn’t be any sooner. The cold winters of Kentucky reminded me why I left the place in search of the warm seasons of California. Everywhere I turned someone wanted to weigh in on the writer’s strike with me and if nothing else this strike has educated the public on the issues that face people in the biz.

The late night talk shows all came back on last night and it was so good to see their faces again. Letterman outshined everyone (not just because he has writers) because he’s always been the best and will always be out of this group. I think Conan represents the new wave into more physical in your face comedy. But Letterman has the feel of a guy that would be working next to you in the factory.

Nikke Finke over at deadlinehollywooddaily.com wrote a nice piece on how Leno went against the guild’s violations by writing his own monologue. Leno has never been funny to me…ever. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I really don’t see how NBC could have handed over the tonight show to him over Dave. Carson gave Dave the approval and even wrote jokes for him after he moved over to CBS.

The Two Guys and Hollywood are back on the airwaves and we’re ready to make all your dreams come true. Get ready for more stories from inside the industry and more rants about life. And we’ve got some big surprises in store for 2008. Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season. Let’s get this strike settled and back to work.
